Tony Hehir

Tony officially joined Framing Matters early in 2005, having spent the prior three months with us developing his knowledge as a picture framer. This self confessed motorcycle racing tragic has picked up a wealth of valuable skills along life’s pathways. With his knowledge and expertise in building construction, cabinet making and metal working, he is multi-talented. Tony brought to Framing Matters many skills which are valuable to a custom picture framing business. Tony is meticulous with his work and sets himself very high standards. These qualities are important in framing and Framing Matters is indeed fortunate to have someone with Tony’s knowledge and skills.

                                                                The finishing touches

Tony is now the ‘turn to’ person whenever any difficult or complicated projects have to be completed. Not only does he have the skills to work on projects but he also has the wonderful ability to be a problem solver. He finds solutions to problems when solutions appear to be beyond the grasp of the normal person. Add to this his calm nature and one is close to finding the almost perfect worker. In fact, it is sometimes a relief when he does make a mistake as we then know he is still human!!

Getting a mirror ready to be framed

Tony’s family and friends know him as ‘Mr Fix it” and thrive on the knowledge and security that with Tony around they need never worry about things that break.

Tony is very much a family man and spends a great deal of quality time with his children and grandchildren. He is a keen traveler and gets away on trips with his wife Penny in their converted Mazda T3500 mobile home whenever possible. He also travels overseas on a regular basis, and has recently spent time back-packing around parts of Eastern Europe and Malaysia. He loves animals and adores his two year old Border Collie “Saffy”, laughing as she dashes around the house with a stolen sock just begging for a game of ‘chasies’.
